I do think this is the hardest question on here. I'm completely stumped and wishing I could list a thousand words I love instead of just one. Really, I can't even imagine an answer for this one.

Least favorite: Hmmm, also tough. Not sure if there are any words I really hate. Maybe fundamentalist. Or oppression. Those words sort of make me want to close up inside. Yuck.

What turns me on: I'd pretty much ditto Leo's answer here, intellectual discussion is the shit, man. Without it I feel like a wilting flower. I would also say that good books, human stories, great music, anything that comes deeply from the soul, cleverness, sarcasm, insight, compassion, love, intelligent humor, the natural world, the supernatural world, anything or anyone who attempts to really make a difference in the world, REALNESS, sincerity and truth turn me on.

What turns me off: willful ignorance, oppression, fundamentalism (of any sort), cruelty, abuse of power (whether that be in a government or a family), lack of caring, insincerity, phoniness, or any other form of pretentiousness. Anything fake.

Favorite curse: Fuck, of course.

Sound or noise I love: Music, thunder, crickets, summer bugs, the ocean, fires crackling, laughter, and more music.

Sound I hate: when the dish machine is broken at work (which happened a few weeks ago) and so it beeps nonstop - that could make me want to kill myself.

What profession I'd want to do other than my own: Ummm, just about anything. It'd be nice to one day make a living as a writer of course. That'd be number one. Rock star, if that didn't work out. Anything more intellectually engaging than what I do now. I actually feel a bit lost on this one.

What profession I wouldn't want to do: Hmmm, again difficult. Anything that really went against my principles. Or anything that in any way involves toilets.

And the other one I already answered.

Kali, I was actually imagining you writing a column, writing for some magazine or paper and getting paid to go out and visit places. Push, push, push!Chryshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08888604641107836723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7804148397927127420.post-53950508571989208072008-05-29T01:20:00.000-04:002008-05-29T01:20:00.000-04:00You missed one! What's your favorite word? (I kno...You missed one! What's your favorite word? (I know, that's probably the toughest question in the bunch ;))KaliDurgahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13218716336939570814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7804148397927127420.post-72205294927884311592008-05-28T22:19:00.000-04:002008-05-28T22:19:00.000-04:00Ok, I'll play....What is your least favorite word?...Ok, I'll play....

What is your least favorite word?
Any term of affection, like 'honey' or 'sweetheart' when its spoken in a condescending manner.

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Intellectual discussion, just the thought of an intellectual discussion turns me on!

What turns you off? People who talk out their ass.

What is your favorite curse word? The f-bomb, hands down the best word ever!

What sound or noise do you love?
Music. Sweet, sweet music.

What sound or noise do you hate?
Any electronical or digital beeping, which is most often accompanied by frazzled, wasted time searching for the culprit while muttering my favorite curse word.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Writing and professional reading.

What profession would you not like to do? Anything having to do with the human body.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
I would like her to invite me in for a cup of coffee.Stargazerleohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16078328515664949975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7804148397927127420.post-68094773510569192462008-05-27T09:28:00.000-04:002008-05-27T09:28:00.000-04:00I don't necessarily see myself writing a book, but...I don't necessarily see myself writing a book, but a regular column somewhere, for which I'm sent all over the world, would be awesome. Something very Bourdain-ish ;) Keep pushing me and I may very well begin working on it.

I should take a Philosophy of Religions class, since it's such a natural combining of such fascinating topics. Back when I was taking classes part time, I got as far as World Lit and Intro to Philosophy, but not far enough to tackle religion. And I'd be the contrarian who'd want to walk the middle line and know some things, yet still be searching for others.

As far as the heaven/god thing, I've swung from atheism to agnosticism, which is why I think it'd be a funny irony to arrive at a place and have Whatever's Up There welcome me and tell me I was wrong to doubt.

And, yeah, you've got me beat on the adult content, Countess Pottymouth ;)

And now you need to finish the rest of the questionnaire, my dear!KaliDurgahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13218716336939570814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7804148397927127420.post-29560908301254176482008-05-27T02:59:00.000-04:002008-05-27T02:59:00.000-04:00You'd make a great travel writer. Just reading you...You'd make a great travel writer. Just reading your posts and blogs, you're excellent. You could write the next "Eat, Pray, Love." (which I still need to read). I bet you could get started at that. DO IT!

Your last answer totally brought me back to my Philosophy of Religion class I took in college (which is funny, because I was just talking to a girl at work about that class, and thinking how for years afterward, in different discussions I'd refer to comments or stories that prof had shared, but realized now that it's like 7 years later, I've forgotten half of them). I suddenly remembered, after reading your answer, my prof asking the class if we'd rather KNOW all the answers to life, or always be searching, and always err. Interesting to think about, eh?

I opted for the latter, btw.

I was trying to think of my own answer for that question about Heaven, but it's hard for me since I'm such a borderline complete atheist and have absolute zero belief in heaven in any traditional sense. But maybe I'd want God to say "Sorry, wrong room," because I think Hell would be a lot more interesting.

Please approve my comment, even though my favorite curse word is definitely fuck, in any form or variation. And if your blog should be set to adult content, mine should be set to XXX or something! HAHAHAHA kidding!Chryshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08888604641107836723noreply@blogger.com
